Workshop

In this interactive workshop, participants take on the role of consultants working for Inspectronic, a company that performs inspections on offshore oil platforms. Today, these inspections are still largely manual and paper-based, leading to information loss, delays, and inefficiencies, especially under challenging conditions such as bad weather. Together, the group analyzes the current inspection process, from assigning inspectors to registering components and uploading findings, and translates key challenges into clear business objectives. Next, the group designs a digital solution. Through structured steps such as sketching, defining use cases, and creating a solution concept, participants explore how to automate and improve the inspection process. Based on these ideas, the application is developed and demonstrated, showing how concepts translate into a working solution. This workshop provides a hands-on introduction to digital transformation, combining business thinking, process design, and technology.
